My Story
I first entered a ballet studio when I was 3 years old,and have never really left. I spent most of my life dancing, either in the studio or onstage. For me it has always been a passion, something that was not only my form of expression, but felt essential to my very being. After a long and fulfilling 22-year career as a Principal Dancer with the Colorado Ballet, I continue to dance and perform, but have transitioned the majority of my focus to teaching others how to find their joy and voice through dance and movement.
Throughout my performing career, I have found that dance and movement can also be a form of healing. This was a joyful revelation, because had I not become a professional dancer, I would have chosen the medical profession. I enhanced my own dancing, healed injuries, and learned to keep my body healthy through the study of anatomy/physiology, nutrition, working with physical therapists, and becoming certified in other healing movement modalities such as Yoga, GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Methods, and Dance for Parkinson’s Disease. Diving deeper into the psycho-somatic level of movement healing, I became certified in Yoga Nidra (a form of guided meditation), Trauma-Informed Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Reiki. In addition to movement coaching, I am a certified Sports Nutrition Coach through the National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM).
I love incorporating the wisdom of these techniques to create a holistic approach to coaching, guiding others to find more strength, resiliency, and joy in their own bodies.
RISE: the Empowered Dancer: In 2020, the challenging performing arts scene during the Covid-19 pandemic inspired me to use these holistic practices to help teen and pre-professional dancers cultivate empowering mind-body tools to support their dance journeys. Thus, RISE: the Empowered Dancer Mentoring Program was born. As a member of the International Association of Dance Medicine (IADMS), I continue to expand my knowledge of cutting edge training and performance techniques that keep dancers healthy and thriving.

My inspiration while working with clients is to ignite holistic transformation so that they can feel greater harmony between mind, body, and spirit.
Regardless of background or previous experiences, our bodies have great wisdom to tap into.
Together we illuminate these and find a unique path of growth and evolution.
Who do I work with?
I love working with a wide range of abilities and ages. My clients range from:
- Adult dancers and non-dancers who want to increase their flexibility and strength
- Pre-professional teens seeking guidance in career, nutrition, bio-mechanics, competition and audition prep
- High level dancers and athletes looking to improve their technical and artistic edge
The common denominator is the desire to expand their mind-body connection and feel amazingly confident and resilient in their bodies!
